An Algorithm for Control System Parameter Optimization Using Frequency Response Criteria.

Abstract

Feedback control system parameter optimization based upon classical frequency response specifications is studied. The use of frequency response information as the basis for the performance index is shown to be feasible, producing satisfactory results without the necessity of repeated solution of the system differential equations. The optimization is carried out through the use of a pattern search algorithm which was modified specifically for this purpose. (Author)
