Effect of Oxides on Certain Properties of Glass Ceramic Coatings for Titanium,

Abstract

The purpose of the work was to study the formability on titanium of coatings containing from 2 to 50% of one of the following oxides: SiO2, Al2O3, ZrO2, TiO2, Cr2O3, MgO, CeO2, ZrSiO4 and to study such properties of glass ceramic coatings as the coefficient of thermal expansion, impact resistance, chemical stability, heat resistance, and electrical resistance.
