A Study of the Properties of the Outputs of a Multielement Sonar Receiving Array Operating in a Reverberant Environment.

Abstract

The report describes the results of an experimental and theoretical study of the properties of the outputs of a multielement sonar receiving array operating in a reverberant environment. The emphasis of the study is on the joint spatial-temporal properties of the receiver outputs and, in particular, on the structure of the normalized covariance matrix of the receiver outputs.
