Transactions of the Conference of Army Mathematicians (19th) Held at, Naval Training Equipment Center, Orlando, Florida, on 23-25 May 1973, Part 1.

Abstract

A partial listing of the papers of the Army mathematicians meeting is presented, including: Polytropic representation for very strong shock compression of solids; A theoretical study of damage to thin shells caused by internal blast attack; A general computer program for use in solving linear-nonlinear regression problems; A new comprehensive 3-point numerical differentiation formula; Interpolation in the numerical solution of the differential equations of exterior ballistics; Magnetic spin correlations of Heisenberg systems with uniaxial and exchange anisotropy by the method of moments; Quantized natural collision coordinates method--quantum mechanical canonical point transformations; PPI radar scene simulation; Use of hydro-dynamic computer codes in analyzing the effects of shallow buried explosive charges.
