Materials Characterization Utilizing Computer Controlled Multivariable Excitation with Man-Machine Interaction.

Abstract

The goals of the contract were to integrate a multivariable testing machine and a small digital computer and to carry out research on: Interfacing of computer and testing equipment; Developing fundamental procedures for the automatic control of material testing; Creating man-machine interactions programs for the testing environment; and, Applying such man-machine techniques to perform materials research useful in the analysis of deformation and strength response of anisotropic solids.
