Peak Follower Circuit Program.

Abstract

An electronic peak follower circuit (PFC) was developed, and a filter design was analyzed and simulated by an analog and digital computer. A commercially manufactured filter, which closely met the desired filter characteristics, was selected and procured. The combination of the Hercules developed circuit and the purchased filter, which comprise the PFC, were characterized through the use of an analog computer. Comparisons of PFC-reduced data against hand-reduced data were made for 20 hot T-burner firings and for 20 firings previously conducted and recorded on FM tape.
