A Detector Design for the SPS-10 Radar.

Abstract

An automatic detector to be used with the SPS-10 radar was designed. The parametric detector consists of a 2-pole video integrator and uses an adaptive threshold. The threshold is set by obtaining an estimate of the mean and variance from the surrounding region (range and azimuth) of the sample under test. The operating characteristics of the detector are presented for both thermal noise and clutter conditions. (Author)
