Low Cost Altitude Reporter.

Abstract

The goal of the program is to develop a low cost Mode C encoding altitude reporter. Two types of pressure transducers for use in the reporter are discussed; an aneroid barometric capsule and a piezo resistive integrated circuit. Several methods of interfacing these devices are analyzed and the results of testing breadboard models are shown. The tasks remaining to complete the program are also discussed.
