Investigation of the Effect of Certain Elements on the Heat Resistance of Titanium Aluminide Ti3Al,

Abstract

The effect of one at. % of group IV - VIII transition metals and group IVB elements on the heat resistance of Ti3Al was investigated. From group IV Zr and Hf were selected; from group V, V, Nb, and Ta; from group VI, Cr, Mo, and W; from group VII, Mn; from group VIII, Fe, Co, and Ni; and C, Si, Ge, Sn, and Pb were selected from group IVB.
