A Centerline Divider Curtain for Use in Aeromedical Airlift.

Abstract

A disposable, lightweight, easily positioned, fire-resistant or -retardant centerline divider curtain was developed for aeromedical airlift to be used between adjacent patients on center litter tiers in multimission aircraft. Curtain specifications required sufficient width to span the distance of the standard litter tier and sufficient height to provide privacy for all patients in a high-density (5-high) litter configuration, with a simple means of attachment to litter stanchions. Operational test and evaluation showed first and second prototypes of the curtain unsuitable for use on the C-141 aircraft. (Author)
