Comparison of Cushioning Properties of 'Microfoam' and 'Kimcel' versus 'Air Cap' Wrap Materials.

Abstract

This is an evaluation of several plastic wrap materials of foam sheet or flexible cellular structure to determine comparative cost effectiveness of these materials for various protection levels and loading requirements. The materials are 6Air Cap6 polyethylene wrap material made by Sealed Air Corp., 6Kimcel6 plastic cellular cushioning material, made by Kimberly-Clark Corp., and 6Microfoam6 cellular polypropylene, made by duPont. Peals 6G6 VERSUS STATIC STRESS CUSHIONING CURVES AND CREEP DATA WERE DEVELOPED FOR THE THREE MATERIALS. (AH-PL)
