Some Characteristics of the Technology of Fabricating Wind Tunnel Nozzles,

Abstract

The process of fabricating a nozzle, even one of simple design, is complicated and difficult because of the unique geometry of the channel. From primitive manual machining to mechanized duplicate machining is the path of development of the technology of fabricating nozzles. On the basis of specific examples, the final stages of nozzle fabrication -- machining of the working curvilinear surfaces of the nozzles, master forms and templates -- are considered. Other stages are not of special interest.
