Research on Lead-Tin-Telluride Infrared Emitters and Detectors.

Abstract

A program to develop practical widely tunable infrared lasers was begun. A Pb/p-type PbTe Schottky barrier technology for junction fabrication was developed. The process requirements for reproducible junctions were established. (Modified author abstract)
