Operational Calculations of Short-Range Forecasts by Complete Equations for the Territory of the Northern Hemisphere,

Abstract

The idea expressed by I. A. Kibel of transition from forecasting by quasi-geostrophic schemes to weather forecasting by complete equations of hydrodynamics has found wide practical application at present. The finite-difference scheme, which is the topic of discussion here, is one of the schemes, created for the solution of the problem of short-range forecasting by complete equations.
