Computer Functional Requirements Study. Volume I.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to assess advanced guidance system computer requirements and functionally define a computer architecture meeting these requirements while incorporating the advances being made in hardware technology, software utilization, and system organization. This report documents the results of that study and presents a functional design capable of meeting the postulated requirements of the 1975-1980 time frame. This document consists of three separate volumes. Volume 1 contains computer functional requirements study design rationale, system concepts, and detailed functional design descriptions of all system elements.
