Helium Self-Oscillating Magnetometer Utilizing Optical Pumping of He4 Atoms,

Abstract

Quantum magnetometers with optical pumping of alkaline metal pairs and metastable atoms of He4 find increasingly wide application in measuring various parameters of the geomagnetic field. These magnetometers can be constructed on a circuit with an automatic frequency control of the external (reference) generator towards the center of the resonance line of the working medium or on an auto-oscillating circuit using a spin generator (self-oscillating magnetometer). The self-oscillating magnetometers are more simple, compact, and reliable and ensure a greater speed of operation.
