Design and Characteristics of the Type 'EBTZ' Electrobathythermoprobe (Konstruktsiya i Kharakteristika Elektrobatitermozondov Tipa 'EBYZ',

Abstract

The electrobathythermoprobe comprises a submerged probe with connecting cable, a measuring attachment, and a recording potentiometer. The EPP-09 automatic electronic potentiometer is used for recording purposes. The instrument will perform failure-free when ship's motion and vibration are heavy, when moisture is high, and under other adverse conditions as well. The probe is designed to measure and record the vertical distribution of temperature in the surface layers of the water to a depth of 300 meters.
