Oceanographic Observations, North Atlantic Ocean Station CHARLIE, April 1967-April 1968.
Abstract
Oceanographic data from ten cruises on Ocean Station CHARLIE (52 deg 45 min N, 35 deg 30 min W) during the period April 1967 to April 1968 are presented. These data consist of observed and interpolated temperature and salinity data from 187 shallow (= or < 1500 meters) and 7 deep (> 1500 meters) casts. Temperature-depth and salinity-depth distribution plots show that the temperature distribution follows a seasonal trend, but the salinity distribution is more diverse. Temperature-salinity plots for the deep casts indicate the presence of Labrador Sea Water and Northeast Atlantic Deep Water. (Modified author abstract)
