Single-Server Queueing Systems with Feedback.

Abstract

The investigation is concerned with queueing systems in which units may return to the waiting lines for another period of service. Units of different types arrive to the system according to a Markov renewal process. The service process is renewal-type where the probability distribution of service times depends only on the type of unit. After a service completion, the unit either leaves the system or feeds back at the end of the lines according to a stochastic rule. In the case where there are several types of units present at the same time in the system, the service discipline uses priority rules. (Modified author abstract)
