Magnetic Moment Versus Temperature Curves of LiZnTi Ferrites.

Abstract

By empirical methods similar to those outlined previously for the iron garnets, molecular-field coefficients are reported for the complicated LiZnTi ferrite system. As in the case of the garnets, the intra-sublattice coefficients N(AA) and N(BB) are linearly dependent on the Ti(4+) and Zn(2+) concentrations, but the inter-sublattice coefficient N(AB) has a quadratic dependence on the Ti(4+) substitutions. Where possible the computed results are compared with experiment, and the agreement is found to be good over the ranges 0 = or < t = or < 0.9 and 0 = or < z = or 0.4. (Author)
