Bending of a Three-Layer Cylindrical Shell Reinforced with a Regular System of Rectangular Stiffeners,

Abstract

This article investigates the bending of a three-layer shallow shell under the effect of a transverse load. The shell is of symmetric construction in terms of thickness with isotropic bearing layers of thickness t and a light isotropic transversal filler of thickness 2h. The broken line hypothesis is used for the tangential displacements of the shell. Flexural rigidity of the external layers is not considered.
