Mass Transfer in a Limited Space,

Abstract

The mixing process in combustion chambers and furnaces of boiler assemblies is dependent upon the velocity gradient which determines the turbulent and convective mass transfer. The report examines two cases of a flow with velocity gradient in a limited space. The analysis showing that the flow and mass transfer together, can also be extended to the axisymmetric flow behind a poorly streamlined body or behind a register with blades which eddy the flow.
