Parametrically Excitable Oscillations of a Cylindrical Shell, Filled with Compressible Liquid or Gas,

Abstract

In this work there is examined the behavior of a system, consisting of isotropic round cylindrical shell of constant thickness h with radius R, filled with compressible liquid or gas. One end of the shell is enclosed by a rigid bottom, on the other - a flat piston oscillates with prescribed frequency and amplitude. The restrained edges of the shell can be freely displaced, the forces from the bottom are not transferred to the shell.
