Engineering Guidelines for the Use of Color in a Sonar Display.

Abstract

The report presents some engineering guidelines for the use of color in the presentation of tactical sonar information on a CRT display. These guidelines have been developed as a result of theoretical and experimental investigations of amplitude (or intensity) color-coding of sonar data. (Modified author abstract)
