Cytochemistry of Malaria under Treatment.

Abstract

The changes in erythrocytes infected by P. vivax were studied by electron microscopy together with immuno-cytochemistry. The host cell changes include formation of caveola-vesicle complexes along the erythrocyte plasmalemma and formation of clefts and large vascuoles in the cytoplasm. (Modified author abstract)
