A First Order Theory for Transonic Flow over a Conical Flare.

Abstract

An approximate theory for the transonic flow over a flared afterbody has been developed for zero and small angles of attack. Comparisons with available experimental data are made. Limitation and assumptions used in the derivation are pointed out. (Author)
