An X-Ray Method for the Determination of Molybdenum in Lubricants.

Abstract

An X-ray fluorescence method for the determination of molybdenum in lubricants has been developed. This method is non-destructive, involves minimum sample preparation, and compares in precision with wet chemical methods. The method yields per cent of molybdenum as a function of the second order of K alpha C (1,2) molybdenum X-ray emission line above background. (Author)
