Oxygen Analyzer for Aeromedical-Airlift Infant Incubator.

Abstract

An oxygen analyzer was needed to measure oxygen concentration in infant incubators during aeromedical airlift operations. Specifications required that the analyzer be compact, portable, rugged enough to withstand the conditions of use during patient transport and backhaul, easy to calibrate accurate (plus or minus 3%) under a variety of environmental conditions, operationally compatible with both multipurpose and single purpose aircraft, and able to provide continuous and intermittent sampling. A Biomarine Oxygen Analyzer, model OA202R, was modified to meet all design objectives. (Author)
