Data Management System Test Methods for Security and Restart/Recovery.

Abstract

The report delineates and describes a data management system (DMS) in the functional areas of security and protection of data (files, programs, etc.) and restart/recovery procedures. Material is included concerning the relationship between the DMS in these areas and the host environment (hardware and operating system) within which the DMS operates. A description of a methodology to test these areas, using test techniques that exist, has been presented. (Author)
