The ALTAIR Tracking Algorithms.

Abstract

Operation of the ALTAIR tracking loops is described in narrative form. The Kalman-Bucy type algorithms are re-interpreted in meaningful physical quantities (radar measurement error and assumed target acceleration). Smoothing time (bandwidth) and damping are derived directly in those physical terms. (Author)
