Estimate of the Characteristics of a Gas-Dynamic Laser,

Abstract

The report calculates the characteristics of a gas-dynamic laser in a mixture of CO2-N2-He with a flat resonator. The system of equations describing the processes inside the resonator is analyzed and solved numerically. Inverse population of CO2 laser levels is caused by the preliminary expansion of the given mixture through a flat hyperbolic nozzle. The dependences of output power on the coefficients of mirror reflection, resonator length, pressure, and composition of the working gas mixture are obtained.
