Experiments on the Treatment of Evaporation Fog with Aqueous Suspensions of Higher Fatty Alcohols,

Abstract

It is possible to draw from the report the following conclusions. An HFA (higher fatty alcohols) suspension prepared using ultrasound prevents evaporation fog. The preparation and storage of the suspension under conditions prevalent aboard a research ship adversely affects the quality of the reagent. To free large areas from fog, fast preparation of large quantities of suspension under stationary conditions is necessary.
