Flexible, Inorganic, Electrical Insulating Coverings for Windings and Thermoelectrode Leads,

Abstract

Flexible inorganic electrical insulating coverings are obtained from principally new slips in which a semicolloidal nitrate solution is used as the dispersion medium. During heat treatment such solutions decompose with the release of a glassy binder and volatile components. The glass-ceramic coverings obtained have a wide combination of useful properties: high flexibility, heat resistance and high dielectric characteristics at 1000C.
