Cobb Seamount Fixed Platform Experiment using the USNS BARTLETT (T-AGOR-13).
Abstract
The USNS BARTLETT (T-AGOR-13) was used to perform an experiment at Cobb Seamount during July 25-30, 1973. Two acoustic sources were lowered from the BARTLETT to the top of Cobb Seamount with the aid of scuba divers. The sources were operated concurrently and independently on a selected transmission schedule. The purpose of the experiment was to conduct a long range fixed-platform sound propagation study in the Pacific with the two sources located on the East end of Cobb Seamount. (Author)
