The Magnetosphere of Jupiter as Observed with PIONEER 10. Parts I, II, and III.

Abstract

Results of an exploratory survey of the absolute intensities, energy spectra, and angular distributions of energetic electrons and protons as a function of position along the trajectory of the Pioneer 10 spacecraft through the magnetosphere of Jupiter are given. Also discussed are the non-rigid rotation of the magnetodisc and Jovian synchrotron radiation at 10.4 cm as deduced from observed electron fluxes.
