A Free Jet Study of the Rotational Relaxation of Molecular Nitrogen from 300-1000K.

Abstract

The rotational relaxation rate in molecular nitrogen has been determined experimentally between 300 and 1000K by time-of-flight analysis of molecular beams from supersonic free jets. The results are in reasonable agreement with those of other investigators over their common temperature range. (Author)
