Thermoelectric Semiconductor Materials Based on Bi2Te3,

Abstract

The physical-chemical thermal and optical properties of Bi2Te3 and solid solutions based on it are reviewed, as are the influences of defects and impurities. The technology of these materials is surveyed. The mobility and scattering mechanism of the charge carriers and the band structure are discussed. Thermoelectric efficiency is reviewed and practical applications are described.
