Macromodular Computer Design. Part 3. Restructured Macromodules.

Abstract

The document reviews the current status of the design and discusses progress towards completion of an initial prototype set of restructured macromodules. Substantial details of the restructured design are given including descriptions and photographs of the crate structure, identification of an initial set of module types, and detailed discussion of some of the engineering issues raised by the restructuring. Estimates of the cost and performance of restructured macromodules are given and a comparison of restructured macromodules with other means for implementing a pattern recognition algorithm is presented.
