Determination of Air Density, Temperature and Winds at High Altitude.

Abstract

The report contains two papers dealing with oscillations of the upper atmosphere and their interpretation: (1) Propagating modes of the 24-hourly atmospheric tide derived from Natal (5.9 degrees S) grenade experiments and global barometric oscillations, and (2) An analysis of grenade-experiment winds and temperatures at Natal (6 degrees S) for diurnal and seasonal components.
