Rotational Excitation of N2(+) B doublet Sigma(+)(u) Produced in Collisions of Atomic Hydrogen with N2.

Abstract

The rotational excitation of N2(+) B doublet sigma(+)(u) formed in collisions of 20 keV H with N2 is shown to be adequately characterized by a Boltzmann distribution having a rotational temperature equal to the kinetic temperature of the nitrogen target. (Author)
