Radio-Electronics and Space,

Abstract

A discussion is given about problems solvable by radio-electronics in the process of the study and mastery of space. Systems of radio monitoring of trajectories of space vehicles, (spacecraft), space radiotelemetry, the sending of instructions, image transmission from space, and radio communication with the astronauts are described. Radio-engineering complexes of the flight monitoring of the spacecraft for space research and practical purposes, the system of satellite communications, radio navigation of vessels and aircraft, meteorology and geodesy are examined. Light is thrown on the problem of communication with extraterrestrial civilizations and prospects for space radio-electronics.
