Dependence of the Capture Zone of a Laser Gyroscope on Its Emission Frequency Difference,

Abstract

The value of the boundary frequency of the capture zone of a laser gyroscope (LG) depends substantially on its emission frequency difference relative to the central atomic frequency. In the case of instability of the emission frequency difference of the laser gyroscope, the oscillations in width of the capture zone cause significant errors in the instrument readings. Therefore, it is necessary to know the function (laser gyroscope capture frequency = function of emission frequency difference) in order to formulate requirements for the stability of the frequency difference with predetermined accuracy of the measurement of the angular parameters of motion of the object and to select the working value of the frequency difference. The work is devoted to an experimental investigation of this function.
