Evaluation of Naval Officer Performance,

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to design and validate a performance evaluation instrument that would discriminate between different levels of Naval officer performance along task and people oriented behavioral dimensions. The Navy officer performance evaluation form was revised to provide more comprehensive and behaviorally oriented measures. Supervisors completed current and revised performance evaluation forms for a representative sample of 1121 naval officers. The results are discussed. (Modified author abstract)
