A System Analysis of a Proposed Building for Module 'B' SCAMP (Small Caliber Ammunition Modernization Program).
Abstract
The purpose of the paper is to investigate the plant facilities for Module B of the Small Caliber Ammuntion Modernization Program (SCAMP). A study of the present manufacturing methods is included to all insight into the problem. A new system is defined and dimensional drawings are included for the individual system constituents. Four plant layouts are established, two for a new building, and two for an existing building. A qualitative comparison of the layouts is made. The layouts are evaluated using safety as the primary consideration. (Author)
