Humidity Control Devices.

Abstract

The report presents the facts and conclusions of a series of tests conducted on a sampling of commercial humidity controllers to evaluate their potential in mobile military applications. The report concludes that: Functionally satisfactory humidity controls could be obtained from commercial sources for use in military applications; low-cost, simple humidistats probably would be as satisfactory as more sophisticated types; militarized versions of the more accurate and more sensitive types could be developed; use of humidistats would introduce some new calibration and maintenance requirements for military environmental control systems; some development would be necessary to acquire completely acceptable military humidistats.
