Map Diagram of the Number of Days with Dust Storms in the Hot Zone of the USSR and Adjacent Territories,

Abstract

A map-diagram is presented showing the frequency of dust storms for the entire territory of the USSR. The increase in the frequency of dust storms after 1950 is noted. Charts are included to show the increase in dust storms, the distribution of stations with respect to the average yearly number of dust storms, and the differing frequency of dust storms inside and outside of cities.
