Shrouded Impeller Test Program

Abstract

The objectives of the program were to demonstrate the feasibility of using a shrouded impeller in a high-pressure-ratio centrifugal compressor, to determine the performance of the shrouded impeller, and to compare this performance to that of a similar 10:1 pressure ratio conventional open-face impeller previously tested. Results are discussed and indications are made for further development.
