Properties of the Boundary Layer in Selective Transport,

Abstract

The boundary layer of a lubricant induced when friction is present in selective transport (ST) conditions is investigated. Based on the determining roles of electrochemical processes as affecting the ST mechanism, the galvano-emf, rectified voltage, and resistance of the boundary layer are analyzed as functions of the rated load.
