The Effect of Antifogging Agents in the Developer on the Structural Characteristics of the Developed Image,

Abstract

In previous reports, it was shown that the introduction of polyethyleneglycol (PEG) into the developer results in deterioration of the structural characteristics of the developed image. In practice, PEC is usually used in photographic development in combination with antifogging agents (AFA) which enter into the developer in order to inhibit the fogging action of PEG. The continued research concerns an investigation of the influence of AFA on the structural characteristics of the image. Experiments were conducted with several panchromatic films and with three model emulsions. Structural characteristics were determined.
