Interservice Utility Helicopter Reliability and Maintainability Comparative Analysis

Abstract

ARINC Research Corporation developed the procedures and tools to investigate the comparative reliability and maintainability per-formance of Army, Air Force, and Navy helicopters on an interservice basis. This report presents a management summary of the approach taken to correlate and analyze the performance data on systems, subsystems, assemblies, and parts used in common by the three services, as well as data on common functional applications of equipments. The results of the investigation are also presented, with explanations of the performance differences and similarities.
